First Communion 2025

CONGRATULATIONS – To all the children who made their First Communion on Sunday 24th August at St Mary’s Church.

Youth Jubilee

More than 90 young people, (including some of our own), attended a Youth Fest at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Palmerston North last Saturday. The day began with a Mass celebrated by Bishop John Adams, followed by keynote speakers, games, workshops, praise and worship, adoration, and the sacrament of Reconciliation. One young person said she left feeling “inspired and enthusiastic about God and his Church” Young Catholics throughout the world took part in similar events on the same day. including the Jubilee of Youth in Rome, in which more than one million young people participated. It is likely that the Youth Fest will become an annual event for our Diocese.
